NUR 4242 Synthesis of Nursing Practice
In this course students complete a Quality Improvement (QI) project within a practice setting. Students will work with health care providers to achieve specific health goals or selected health outcomes for a patient population. Students will complete their practicum hours by working with providers to identify gaps in care and implement a quality improvement strategy to address the identified gap. This project is the synthesis of concepts from earlier courses and is based on the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) QI practicum. Students will also complete an e-portfolio demonstrating the attainment of the nursing program outcomes and synthesis of the baccalaureate nursing education.
Prerequisite
All NUR 3200 and 3300 level courses *Course must be taken in the last semester of RN-BSN curriculum
