Hometown Healthcare Scholarship

Designed to support students who are committed to pursuing a career in healthcare and giving back to their communities. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a student who currently resides in the Petersburg area (Petersburg, Chester, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Prince George) or the surrounding counties, including Emporia, Virginia. Applicants must have been accepted to the SCHS and demonstrate a strong desire to live and work in their community after graduation.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be accepted to one of the following programs at SCHS: Nursing, RAD, or DMS.

• The applicant must currently live in the Petersburg area or surrounding counties, including Chester, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Prince George, or Emporia.

• The applicant must express a clear intention to remain in their community after graduation and pursue a healthcare career that contributes to the well-being of the local area.
