SCHS is dedicated to equality of opportunity for its staff and students. SCHS is committed to this policy and supports the protection of citizens by all applicable Federal Laws including Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Title IX of the 1972 Education Amendments, Executive Order 11246 as amended by 11375 Title VII (Section 799A) and Title VIII (Section 845) of the Public Health Service Act, the Age Discrimination Act, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991.

Sexual harassment shall be deemed a form of discrimination based on sex as prohibited by Section 703 of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Chapter 10, Title 2.1 Code of Virginia (in the case of employees) and Title VI of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 (in the case of students). Sexual harassment is defined as deliberate, unsolicited, unwelcome verbal and/or physical conduct of a sexual nature or with sexual implications.
