RAD 260 Radiation Biology & Protection

This course studies radiation interaction with matter and the early and late effects seen on living systems as a result of radiation exposure. Radiation protection principles for the patient, personnel, and public are presented. Radiation monitoring and radiation exposure dose limits and regulations are discussed. General radiation safety and protection practices in diagnostic radiography and computed tomography are introduced.
