PHR 3102 Pathopharmacology II

Pathopharmacology II further examines pathophysiological concepts and pharmacotherapeutics as related to the disruption of homeostasis in the human body. Building on knowledge from prerequisite courses, this course explores disease processes and pharmacological interventions as related to the following topics: inflammation/pain, fever, infectious diseases and antibiotics, GI disorders, immune system function and disorders, sexually transmitted infections including HIV, musculoskeletal system, nervous system, multisystem dysfunction, and end of life. Pathopharmacology II is designed for the baccalaureate nurse generalist student and is aligned with Adult Nursing Science II.
